I introduce myself

Hello! I am Sara

Hello, I am Sara, I live in Bellano on Lake Como. I’m graduated in Psychology at University San Raffaele in Milan. I love travelling and meeting new people from all over the world. One of my best passion is sport, activity that allow me to free my mind from all thoughts. I manage “the cozy nest” from March 2018 with pleasure because it gives me the possibility to meet people of all ages and nationalities, speak and give them useful informations about the place, services and attractions. I’m always available both before and during the trip to clarify doubts and I will be your right arm to let you have a pleasant holiday without any worries.

The apartment is provided with a free parking situated 150 meters away from the same and reachable through a small path and a staircase. In addition there is a covered and safeguard box near the parking, accessible with a remote control that is inside the apartment. At the entrance of the apartment there is a code box with key and the possibility to do the self check-in (if the guests would like) and to leave the key at the check-out. The apartment has a terrace with lake view, equipped with a sun umbrella, and a private garden with a table, a relax zone and sun chairs. The lake view swimming pool is in common with other apartments of the village “The paradise of the lake”, it is open from the beginning of May till the end of September and it is furnished with sun chairs and umbrellas to let you relax in complete tranquility.

The little house was truly a "cozy nest " very stylish and spotlessly clean. Everything we needed was there. The views from the balcony were stunningly beautiful. Sara met us at Bellano Station and we followed her up to the house. It might have been difficult to find on our own. An amazing stay!!! Very very kind and smiley girl welcomed us, though we came 3 hours later than expected! The apartment was full equipped, even gifts for welcome like fruits, champagne, sweets, milk, kaffee... The interior is perfect designed. Really luxury place. Beautiful infinity pool. Sara met us at the small train station of Bellano. It's a tricky drive to find the Cozy Nest so we were very appreciative that we could follow her with our car to the accommodation. Once there we found a well presented and very clean cottage. She had stocked the kitchen with a few welcome basics and a a bottle of Cava. We were delighted. Through our stay we were able to keep in touch with any questions we had. A perfect hostess and I would recommend The Cozy Nest to most everyone.

The place was breathtaking! You don’t really want to get out of it because of the view…The host was really kind and comprehensive. We get lost on the road so we arrive 1 hour late or so, and she didn’t seemed upset as she could be. When arrive there was some cookies and a bottle of wine waiting for us! She also help us so we can get oriented to the village. Me and my family really enjoy the days we spend there, it was beautiful, peaceful and calm. Only thing I can say is that if you don’t have a car, it will be pretty difficult for you to get to the place, and also come back from the village. Other than that, everything was great and we will definitely come back to Cozy Nest if we go back to Lake Como again.

Welcome to Bellano

Bellano is a small town on the east coast of Lake Como. The main attraction is “Orrido” (horrid in English), whose really uninviting name hides a secular heritage: it is a waterfall situated in canyon created 15 million years ago by the erosion of the water of the river Pioverna. It can be visited thanks to a long walkway recently ampliated that offers the possibility to adventure and discover this “horror of horrible horrendousness” how it has been defined by a Bellano’s poet.

The Trail of the wanderer

In the proximity of the apartment there is the “Trail of the wanderer” that runs parallel to “that branch of Lake Como” of which Manzoni speaks in the “Promessi Sposi”: if you love trekking or you simply are curious walkers, you could explore it in both directions and enjoy the suggestive landscapes of Lake Como.

Village and its surroundings

Wandering around the town, you could visit the ancient “contrade” that characterize this secular village and the suggestive lakefront walk will give you the possibility to take heartbreaking pictures. In the proximity of Bellano (4,2 km) you find Varenna, the Lombard village of lovers, easily reachable either by car or by train and visitable in a day.

The villages of Lake Como

From the pier of Bellano you can enjoy the lake transport of boat and hydrofoil to do a touristic tour of Lake Como and admire the beautiful villages from an alternative perspective. For a 360° visit of the lake, you can’t forget to visit Bellagio, the Tremezzina with its beautiful villas, in particular the famous “Villa Balbianello” and the majestic gardens of “Villa Carlotta” and then continue until Como, the symbol town of our lake. From Bellano it is also possible to do private tours of the lake with the taxy boat.

Speaking of the culinary aspect that can’t miss in your vacation, for a fast lunch I suggest you “Café Arrigoni” with its wonderful terrace on the lake and the tasty ice-cream cups. To taste local food, you should go to “La Darsena” restaurant and for a nice pizza to “Lido di Bellano”, enjoying the beautiful sunsets on the lake. You can eat another good pizza at “Ristorante del lago” that gives you the possibility of home delivery. Visiting the splendid village of Varenna, I suggest you to do a culinary stop at the restaurant “Al prato”, situated in the historic streets of the town and enjoy a romantic dinner based on lake fish with an amazing view at “Locanda dei pescatori”.
